Peter Alker: I have been fascinated by animals and wildlife for as long as I can remember and I have been told this was apparent when I was not much more than a toddler. My particular interest in birds and bird ringing developed in my early teens and has stayed with me to this day. This blog is a recent expression of that long held interest in nature and is the nearest I have ever come to keeping a diary.
